Nantucket

We went to Nantucket last weekend. We arived Friday around 5 PM. It started raining an hour later. As we drove to our host's house, she said "We have a little mosquitoe problem this year." Yes they did.

Even though we stayed in the house or in town most of the time because it rained for 40 hours straight, both boys, especially skipper, were devoured.

A good time was had by all. Posted by Picasa

Friday afternoon we went to a monument company to order a tombstone for my mother's grave. Skipper is very excited about designing the inscription which will include a couple of engraved tulips.

Uncle Gordon continued to struggle with pneumonia, and this morning at 5 AM the nursing home called to tell us that he had passed away. My father died at 5 AM, my mother died at 5 AM, my uncle died at 5 AM. What does this mean?

He was a nice man, and I will miss him as a healthy person.

"Another tombstone?" said skipper. "I need a new grandfather." said Hank.
